Robert Pierosh is a multi-talented artist, using various mediums such as photography, screen printing, and video to bring his creative visions to life. Throughout his career, he has been driven by his passion for storytelling and exploring themes of danger, mystery, and alternate universes. In his early work, Robert often used himself as a character in his scenarios, and manually manipulated prints during the darkroom printing process to create layers of deconstruction and reconstruction for his unique prints.
Years later, Robert returned to manual manipulation in his Assassination Portrait series, which showcased his artistic growth and development. His latest work focuses on childhood mysteries, masculinity, sexuality, and aging, which he expresses through large-scale photography and video art.
Robert received his formal art education from the University of Delaware, where he focused on photography. He has continued to develop his skills and expand his artistic horizons by completing two artist residencies at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. These residencies were in their Photography and Video program as well as their MFA Social Documentary Film program, which allowed him to gain new insights and techniques to incorporate into his work.
In addition to his accomplished career as an artist, Robert is also a veteran creative director in the NYC advertising industry. He has led the creative and user experience design for various international brands across industries including automotive, technology, travel, luxury goods, and consumer products.
Robert’s work has been exhibited internationally, and his pieces are part of art collections worldwide. His creative talents and dedication to his craft have earned him recognition and praise from the artistic community, and his work continues to inspire and captivate audiences.
