Foster Dog Portraits

As part of his contemporary portrait practice, Robert extends his lens beyond people to include the rescue dogs he fosters. These portraits are not only an extension of his artistic work but also a way to honor the individuality and spirit of each animal. Fostering provides dogs with the chance to live in a home environment while they await their forever home—reducing stress, encouraging socialization, and helping them become more adoptable.

It also allows dogs to receive necessary medical care and training, improving their health and increasing their chances of finding the right match. For foster families, the experience offers emotional fulfillment, a sense of purpose, and the opportunity to provide meaningful care without long-term commitment. It can also be a valuable experience for children, teaching empathy and responsibility.
