Commission a Portrait
Robert Pierosh accepts a limited number of fine art photography commissions each year, working one-on-one with individuals, families, and organizations to create thoughtful, intentional photographic work.
Whether marking a milestone, preserving a relationship, or creating something deeply personal, each commission is approached as a collaborative process shaped around identity, story, and presence.
What Can Be Commissioned
Portrait Commissions
One-on-one portrait sessions created with care and attention to the person being photographed. Each session is designed as a collaborative experience—never a standardized photo shoot. Examples of this work can be seen in the Portfolio.
Editorial & Collaborative Projects
Select collaborations with publications, brands, and organizations are considered when aligned with Robert’s artistic approach.
Story-Based & Documentary Projects
Longer-form projects that may include multiple sessions, interviews, personal artifacts, or layered documentation—created to preserve and reflect meaningful stories or moments.
A Welcoming Practice
Robert’s studio and working process are grounded in respect, sensitivity, and openness. He welcomes clients of all backgrounds, ages, body types, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
If there are access needs, concerns, or specific requests, they are always welcome as part of the conversation.
How It Works
Every commission begins with a conversation—an opportunity to understand what you want to create and why it matters.
From there, a tailored approach is developed, shaping the session around your story, your presence, and the feeling you want the final work to carry.
The photography itself is collaborative and intentional, with space for direction, discovery, and quiet moments in between.
Afterward, the finished work is carefully prepared and presented for selection as museum-quality artwork.
Pricing
Portrait commissions are structured as a creative session fee plus the purchase of finished artwork.
Most clients invest $2,500 and up, depending on the number of images, scale, and format selected.
Larger or longer-form projects are quoted individually.
Availability
Robert accepts a limited number of commissions at a time. Depending on the season and scope of the work, projects may be scheduled several weeks to a few months in advance.
If timing is important, it’s best to reach out early.
